Yes, Wegman’s Food market does encourage positive organizational behavior they have made the Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list every year since it started in 1998 ("Employee Appreciation / The Wegman Way", 2012). Their philosophy has been “employees first, customers second”. This shows through all the great rewards, great challenges, top notch training and management. They offer wellness options, scholarships, talent pipeline, internships, and development. They offer a compensations program, health benefits, free cholesterol and blood pressure screenings. This goes with their onsite health benefits. They offer work and life balancing programs, they offer program at work like the perks to make life easier program. They are community oriented and provide a fun opportunity in the workplace and outside the work place. Wegmans uses many theories to set them apart from other grocery stores and other businesses. They seem to have a grasp on Equity and Justice Theories to Motivate Employees; they really take into consideration of how their employees feel and how they perceive what their expectations are at their job. Wegman’s is all about fairness and quality at the workplace. They use McClelland Theory of Acquired Needs; Wegmans demonstrates this theory thru offering education advancement help, having great on the job training, putting an effort on team work and kindness.
