Microsoft Dynamics CRM Exercise
(4 points)
- Create a new account and do the following with this new account. This will add to the existing sample accounts already in the system.
a). Designate an industry for this account and create at least 5 contacts with different
positions within the organization.
b). Create a new sales activity (e.g. a phone call, email, or letter) for the account that you
created.
c). Create a new note on the account that you created. The note should be
detailed and include information that you learned as a result of a (hypothetical) sales
activity performed with the customer.
2. Designate an industry for each sample account in the system. Limit the industries that you use for this to a common set of 2-3 choices (so all of your accounts should be in only 1 of 2 or 3 of the available industries).
3. Create 2 dynamic marketing lists. A dynamic marketing list is based upon a query that you will create as you set up the marketing list. One list should segment accounts according to industry and the other should segment accounts by 2 or more fields of your choice (for instance accounts in a certain region and in a certain industry).
After completing the steps, you need to turn-in the following:
- Account overview report for the account created in exercise 1. This may be a screen-shot inserted in a Word document.
- Briefly describe the steps involved in completing exercise numbers 1 and 2.
- Cut and paste the screen shot of the two queries used for each dynamic marketing list created in exercise #3. Also attach the output you get as results of the two queries.
You may attach a cover page explaining the process that you followed.
These submissions should be in electronic format using Assignment submission facility on Blackboard.
