Mention some of the most influential theories of motivation. Which one of them do you find most relevant?
- equity theory, expectancy theory, goal-setting theory, and inner work life theory.
- Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, ERG theory includes existence, relatedness, and growth, Two-Factor Theory, Acquired-Needs Theory
Question 2
What is an extreme job? Do you think it’s true that there are a growing number of extreme jobs? What kind of extreme job would you consider? Why? Do you really think it’s worth it?
- Some people are motivated by extreme jobs, working long hours under pressure, for the adrenalin rush, high pay, status, and power, but with personal and social problems.
- Its depends on the society and the culture , in Europe I don’t think so , may be in Asia , Africa , USA.
- But we need a research to answer this question .
- I will never think with an extreme job because the live is so short and I need to live it .
Question 3
Imagine that you work as human Resource (HR) consultant. What businesses suffer from Boreout today? Outline what you think these businesses could do to alleviate the problem?
- All the businesses which spend a large part of the day simulating work.
- To avoid burnout:
- They should learn all employee how to work with purpose.
- They must do a professional job analysis, and job description so the employee will avoid unnecessary work.
- help the others and work as a team.
- manage the time of tasks.
- more actively during the work.
- Teach the employee how to manage the stress.
Question 4
Compare Maslow’s needs of hierarchy to the inequity theory. How would you assess the relative importance of individual needs and fairness when trying to explain human behavior at the workplace?
When you get your needs :
1. Biological and Physiological needs - air, food, drink, shelter, warmth, sex, sleep.
2. Safety needs - protection from elements, security, order, law, stability, freedom from fear.
3. Love and belongingness needs - friendship, intimacy, trust and acceptance, receiving and giving affection and love. Affiliating, being part of a group (family, friends, work).
