Needs Analysis- Starbucks Coffee Company
In this assignment a needs analysis will be conducted for Starbucks Coffee Company. As part of this needs analysis an organizational, team and task assessment will be reviewed. These analysis will support the necessary training objectives and define measurements that will ensure the objectives will result in the appropriate type and level of employee knowledge. The evaluation criteria identified will provide the appropriate data to demonstrate that the training needs at Starbucks Coffee Company are fully met.
Introduction
Starbucks Coffee Company is a large, global corporation that focuses on customer experience and high-quality product. They have developed a strong training program that equips their employees to be able to provide a consistent, high-quality product regardless of the location. Starbucks has built their brand reputation on the quality, consistency and overall outstanding customer experience and product. This assignment will provide details on how Starbucks has found success with this challenge at all levels of employment.
Productivity
For Starbucks to maintain with their Ethical Sourcing policy they have to continue to maintain a clean slate in this area; they will have to make changes to meet the current regulations in environmental farming. Starbucks will also have to make sure all bean farmers and farms are adhering to these practices. Starbucks also has an environmental stewardship they commit too. This means that they will have to research and maintain a current and ethical practice. This goes from farms to the stores to ensure that all parties are following the environmental practice that Starbucks has found to be the most environmental friendly. They already do this by supporting forest conservation programs.
Efficiency
Starbucks is an innovative company and working to maintain their level of efficiency when it comes to serving their customers. Starbucks has made a name for itself off their many complex flavors and drinks. Making sure that employees that are making these drink can do so without sacrificing the timely matter in which customers have come to expect from the company.
Team Building and Communication
Where it comes to team building Starbucks is ahead of the game. They look to employ the veterans and give to all employees not just their upper management staff. They work hard to ensure all staff are happy and looked after. Communication to staff is in a hierarchy and uses the trickle down aspect as such. Starbucks does not just communicate with their staff; they have information on everything they do for the environment and community on their website for the public to see as well.
