Recommendations &Conclusion.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the management styles and communication systems used within the NHS childcare services, through preliminary analysis of the case two key failure and issues where identified. First and foremost there was a degree of ambiguity surround the management style implemented within the case, secondly, the lack of communication between professional departments.
On analysis of the managerial styles of the NHS Child care service to the literature. It was identified from the case there was no directorate management style. Thus, on recommendation and consideration of the organisational structure of the NHS a managerial style can be implemented. In my personal opinion, a combination of convergence and pragmatist managerial style would be best suited. The rationale behind the choice of management style is based upon the case, it was often identified there was a lack of directive of any specific management style. Moreover, due to the natural characteristics of a convergence manger being highly adaptable with highly structure organisations, and the combination of a pragmatist ability to adapt to situations instantly, the death of baby P may have been prevented though this is a subjective inclination as there was greater directive the failures was primary to the in effective communication methods.
Therefore in relation to communication systems, the literature took a holistic approach to identifying the different constructs of communication systems. Moreover , what effect the concept of “ communication” had on organisations and management. On analysis , and adaptation of the literature to the case the following could be identified.
