Qualitative research is defined as: "The term qualitative management research is a conceptual device that people regularly use to make sense of their worlds by signifying particular forms of management research" (Johnson , BUEHRING, CASSELL , & SYMON , 2007).
Qualitative research does not use any numbers or a statistical data; it is not easy as many think. It is manly text type of data which is recorded while the researcher's observer or study the group using various types research methods. Qualitative research method enables the researchers to answers some of the question which they want to find out, for example "why people smoke". This type of research finds out concern with social science, for example its sets out to understand why people behave in the way they do.
Qualitative research enables the researcher is to get a richer answer from the participant compared to others types of research methods, for example the question can enable the researcher to find out the interest of an individual if it was missed in other research.
Quantitative research involves numbers, which enables researchers to count and measure the object being researched. Further to this, this type of research enables the researchers to compare and contrast. For example blood pressure of patients whom have been treated with two different types of drugs. This type of data has no meaning or understanding to it as, it doesn't explain why something is different than the other or others. Quantitative research methods developed by natural sciences, for the purpose of studying natural phenomena. (Ulrike human)
Quantitative research uses the survey and questionnaire methods to collects its information, which is then converted into numbers and statically analyst id done to give the overhaul of the research.
