1. The intention of this policy is to bring uniformity in employee basic salary percentage and to provide a basis for allocating future increments to all employees in an equitable manner.

2. This policy applies to all employees in staff category & to those employees in workmen category drawing a gross salary of AED 2,000 & above.

3. Gross Salary of all employees in the staff category will have the following components :

• Basic Salary : 65% of total monthly salary;

• General Allowance : Balance of total monthly salary. This allowance is an all inclusive allowance comprising of all compensation paid to the employee such as housing, transportation, utilities…etc.;

Note:

In addition to the above, employees may be given a special allowance or a Fixed Overtime Allowance on a case to case basis depending on business requirements & job responsibilities.

4. Minimum Basic Salary for all employees will be AED 2,000 per month or Actual Gross Salary, whichever is lower.

5. The Basic Salary, in all cases, will be 65% of the "Gross Salary" earned by an employee.

6. Gross Salary for purposes of clause 5 above, for employees in staff category, will be calculated as follows:

Basic Salary + General Allowance + Special Allowance + Any other allowance + Actual House Rent paid by Company, including municipal taxes & utilities, where applicable + Perquisite Value of Company provided motor vehicle + Any other perquisites.

Note:

• The Gross Salary as calculated above will not include the Fixed OT Allowance;
