Executive Summary
Presented in this paper is the critical strategic analysis of a leading company in the beverage industry – the Coca-Cola Company. Operating in more than two hundred countries across the world, Coca-Cola is the world’s leading manufacturer and distributer of soft drinks. More than four hundred nonalcoholic beverage brands ore licensed and operate by this company.
Coca-Cola faces regular challenges in today’s marketplace irrespective of its local and international achievements the main reason being that it runs in a highly volatile market conditioned by dynamic control policies and among other socio-economic factors. The core objective of this paper is to table the finding of the research undertaken to better comprehend this global beverage company’s localization. Findings presented in this research analysis document and external analysis of Coca-Cola Company to help digest the environmental effect of the company within its operational perimeters. To better understand the internal capabilities trending in the company there is need to carry out an internal evaluation.
In addition to the above mentioned precepts, this paper will also explicate the processes stationed by the company in order to keep toping in its business avenues. An analysis of the laid down strategies, concealed initiatives undertaken by the company board of governors and directors to maintain market leadership will also be provided. This research paper will provide recommendations on how the company can perfect the areas in which it is not rationally performing. According to Peterson, Udell & Easton, 2011., the climax of the paper will stress on the need for the company to scale down its reliance on the carbonated beverages and as well focus on how to remain competitive through product diversification. Key identified issues in the research will be justified by this paper as best way for the Coca-Cola Company to become a total beverage company.
