Abstract

Negotiating has become a part of our daily routine. Most of us enter into at least two significant negotiation situations daily where positive outcomes are very important for us. Our negotiation partners include colleagues, friends, bosses, business associates, customers and vendors. In all these settings we use a variety of Strategies and tactics to get our own way.

In this Report I have chosen to share a few tips that are recommended to be used when you are requesting a raise in you are negotiating salary from your boss, or when you are negotiating a Job offer or being interviewed in the job that you have been dreaming of.

What Is The Negotiation?

It is already known that in life, since you are little, you confront with negotiation techniques. When you are young you always negotiate with your parents regarding the pocket money or cleaning your room in a day when you don’t have the heart to do it and on many other situations. When you grow up, you have to negotiate your labor contract, a change in your schedule with another colleague or negotiate with your life partner about where to have dinner that night. Therefore, negotiation is an important part of our life based on communicating with people around us our needs, interests and listens in our turn to theirs so that everybody can receive what they want, by satisfying every part.

Negotiation Is:

The act or process of dealing with others to reach an agreement, or it is the interaction between two or more parties to achieve certain goals or targets, & to overcome certain constrains or problems.

Negotiation Is All About:

• Interaction between two or more parties & each party having certain goals to be achieved.

• To confer with another or others in order to come to terms or reach an agreement.

• Negotiation is the process of achieving goals through an agreement.

• Negotiating is the art of reaching an agreement by resolving differences through creativity.

• The process by which at least two people seek to make something happen.

• The definition of negotiation as it relates to employment is: a series of communications (either oral or writing) that reach a satisfying conclusion for all concerned parties, most often between the new employee and the hiring organization.

• Process of give-and-take exchange among persons aimed at resolving problems or conflicts.
