• Negative Reinforcement:

Negative Reinforcement is a Human Resource Management decision in order to solve a problem. It implies that anybody who creates the problem will have to go through a punishment like activities so that he/she feels discouraged to do so. In case of our discussed problem, students who will go for a re-advising process will have to pay some extra charge so that they do not go for it without a desperate cause. For example, 1200 BDT extra can be charged for each re-advised course. Even if it cannot eradicate the problem, it will certainly minimize it to a certain extent.

• Positive Reinforcement:

Positive Reinforcement is Human Resource Management decision in which positive rewards are given for not doing a problem creating job. In our Re-advising problem, this concept can be introduced. For example, students who have never gone through a re-advising in his entire university career will be given a special award during his/her convocation. In this way, students will feel encouraged not to go through re-advising process.

• Token system:

A token system can be introduced to reduce the immense pain of students in a re-advising line. Students who will come to re-advise will have to collect a token with a serial number for their re-advising purpose. Each student will be entitled to only one token. In this way, fair re-advising process will be ensured.

• Quota System:

The authority should provide a list of courses from which a student can choose in a particular year and they cannot take further courses without completing those courses.
