The Competition
Kotler (2002) defines competitors as, those that satisfy the same customer needs. The market concept of competition identifies who the company’s direct and indirect competitors are by mapping the buyer’s steps in obtaining the product.
During the course of research, the researchers took the following factors into consideration while determining the direct competitors. Since the outlet to be opened, is a restaurant, the competition for the outlet would include restaurants in the vicinity, satisfying the same or similar customer needs.
