Abstract

Financial crisis has brought about serious challenges for human resource management of Alibaba. Based on analyzing the problems faced by human resource management of Alibaba in the context of distinctive challenge, and combining with the governance,the corporate culture ,decision-making system and HR practice. The paper focus on how Aibaba’s HR managers added meaningful and sustainable value in business success.During that time,HR challenge is how to reveal all the ins and outs, hold up, hold the entire team, while the introduction of talent at such a rapid growth and changing business forms.On the one hand, Alibaba ongoing HR organizational changes are more management focus shifted to the close-knit staff and management up business. On the other hand, E-HR system released HRM from the tedious daily affairs, so they can put more energy into the big picture and business which are closely related performance evaluation, organizational culture building on the transaction. eventually enhance the performance management and achieve long-term development of enterprises.

Introduction

Alibaba, the exceptional online commerce company, is renowed not only among chinese but also among other countries near and far.Its three main sites — Taobao, Tmall and Alibaba.com — have hundreds of millions of users, and host millions of merchants and businesses. Alibaba handles more business than any other e-commerce company.

In 1999,this company only have 18 partners, and all of them worked in a small house.Now ,alibaba have more than 24000 employees ,also transactions on its online sites totaled $248 billion last year, more than those of eBay and Amazon.com combined. In addition,this big company was controlled by an HR group which only have 443 people.During the develop period of alibaba , this HR group has confronted hundreds and thousands crisis and challenge,old problems and new situation come and goes,alibaba’s HR group always can change they strategic,maintain the company’s innovative and never fail to stimulate the enthusiasm of employees,enhance the loyalty and trust of employees .

What is about alibaba company to make it so succeed?Does it have some procedures we can use for reference?

The establish of HRM

As we know, it was in 2004 that alibaba really start to constitute the human resources department and set up the normally Personnel management system.

 In August 2004, jack Ma firstly met Deng Kangming, Deng Kangming infected passion and vitality of the jack Ma and Alibaba, despite the objections of friends and his family, he joined the firm of  jack Ma's team as vice president of human resources.
