The unmanned spacecraft Hayabysa2, which was built from the original Hayabusa mission by The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), was launched in December 2014. It successfully rendezvoused with asteroid Ryugu in June 2018. Japan's Hayabusa2 mission to the asteroid Ryugu for sampling the land of the asteroid is one of the most daring and ambitious space missions ever undertaken by man. This complex task was given in the hopes of finding more clues about the formation of the Earth. In this paper, we will overview about what is Hayabusa2, data about it and The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), which invented Hayabusa2. Also, we will explain more specific about Hayabusa2 mission, timeline and current progress, as well as methods on how will make contact physical contact, collect data/samples, leaving and delivering sample to Earth. Finally, we will analysis the reasons why Hayabusa2 mission is important.
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) was set up on October 1, 2003 by merging of three independent entities of Japan: Institute of Space and Astronautical and Science, the National Aerospace Laboratory and National Space Development Agency. JAXA obtains many achievements like Orbital SS-520 mission, Lunar and Planetary explorations, solar sail research, Lunar and interplanetary missions, Early H-IIA missions. Especially, the invention that Japan made history is Small body exploration: Hayabusa mission.
In summary, our paper will look at what and how achievement did Hayabusa2 invented by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) obtain. Its results can fundamentally change our understanding of the conditions for the formation of planets. In addition, it can provide important information that helps us better protect the earth.
