Toward E-Banking Services

Importance of the Study:

Bahraini banks are one of the best Gulf banks that employed modern technology in the service of customers years ago and have invested huge sums of money for the settlement of advanced technologies in the field of banking services.

Banks are experiencing a revolution in the banking business; banks are shifting from traditional to electronic banks, which rely on Information Technology and Communications. This Technology Opened a new business opportunities for banks to provide their products regardless of their geographical location and allow its existing and potential customers to benefit from these services.

E-banking defined as the delivery of banks' information and services by banks to customers via different delivery platforms that can be used with different terminal devices such as a personal computer and a mobile phone with browser or desktop software, telephone or digital television. Daniel (1999)

E-banking services offer the ability to perform transactions more efficiently and yet less costly.

Some of E-banking services include paying phone or electricity bills and CrediMax cards, doing the internal or external transfers payments, refilling mobile phone cards through the website of banks, checking account of customers about their account ... etc.

As a result, the importance of this research is to identify the factors affecting using e-banking service, and focus on the tendency of consumers to use it.

The Research Problem (Research questions):-

The fundamental problem of this research is to study the factors affecting the Consumer's attitude towards using e-Banking service in Bahrain, by answering the following question:

What are the factors that affect the Bahraini consumer to use e-banking service?

Where were the following factors identified:-

1- Trust

2- Occupation

3- Income level

4- Level of education

5- Perceived Usefulness (PU)

6- Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU)

Objectives:-

This study conducted to achieve the following objectives:-
