Toyota Motor Corporation is the biggest Japanese automotive company. The company started in Aichi, Japan. Their annual sale average about $252 billion in 2014. According to Millward Brown, the company is the most valuable car brand. Toyota has 333,875 employees worldwide. According to the article, “Auto data, U.S. Market Light Vehicle Deliveries –December 2014” Toyota sold 2,373,771 new vehicles in the United States in 2014. Also, the company took the global sales crown for 2014 because it had 10,230,000 sales in the world. Currently, Toyota is world largest automaker. Toyota is also the eleventh largest company in the world. Toyota is the first company to make more than ten millions vehicles a year. It reached 200 million sales vehicles in 2012. Its internet address is www.toyota.com. I choose Toyota because as a Japanese, I am proud of their achievements.

There are many companies in the car industry throughout the world. In the United States, they have around twenty companies like GM, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, VW, BMW, Tesla, and more. Toyota produces vehicle with Lexus, Scion, Ranz and Hino.

Toyota has original way of vehicle manufacturing process. It is divided into three sections as development, production technology, and production. In development, it constantly seeks and plans new cars through innovation expect to future. Development consists of planning, visual design, technical design, testing, and evaluation by the teamwork. After development, production technology supports to process of manufacturing with quality and efficiency. Advanced production technology makes creative crucial to realize good car manufacturing. Production technology consists of production review, process planning, detailed review of facilities, facilities procurement, testing, check quality, and mass production. Finally, the company produces vehicles under creative plan with eminent facilities. Toyota has 4 finishing plants in production of vehicle. Each of these is efficient and easily operated production line. The combination of robots and automatic system of transports increases the production efficiency. Steel sheets are transported and place into a pressing machine. It makes large and small variety pieces of automotive parts with rapid succession. After steel sheet is pressed, the vehicle’s body is created by welded by person. After that, the part is painted several times for lustrous by high performance robots. After painting the body, many parts of vehicle are attached by human’s hands. Finally, the completed car is checked and tested with several inspections strictly and shipped to customers. They work is clearly divided between robots and human to create efficiently on the production line.
