The stock of the company peaked in the year 2000 with NT$2660 and the price from 2001 and has been stabilized for 15 years (Google finance, 2015). It shows that the company is very stable in the market and profits have been generated annually and steadily. There is no unpredictable up and down stock prices which create winners and loser. The shareholders of the company can enjoy stable dividend annually. Despite the fact that shareholders might not make money from the sudden changes of stock prices, however, they can receive annual dividend and stability of the companies. Bulk shareholders can make serious money from small changes in shareholder prices. The data can be seen in the following figure.

Corporate governance model and its evolution

Asus is now currently running with these key players: Chongtang Shi ( Chairman of the Board, Chief Brand officer), Qiangsheng Zeng ( President, vice chairman of the board), Zhenlai Shen ( Chief Executive officer, Director) and Weiming Zhang ( Chief Financial Officer) (Reuters,2015). ASUS was founded by T.H Tung,Ted Hsu, Wayne Hsieh and M.T.Liao who were former Acer employees. We can see that there is a difference between founding fathers of ASUS and current management of the company.

Chongtang Shi has been the Chairman of the Board and Chief Brand Officer since December 4, 2007. He also serve as chairman of the board in other ASUS branches such as ASUSTEK Holdings Limited, ASUS International limited, Asus Holland B.V, Deep Delight Limited, Channel Pilot Limited, Unimax Holdings Limited, Next System Limited, Waveface holding Company limited, ASUS international PTE LTD and three other companies. ASUS has been practically using the successful global marketing and expanding strategies from the most successful and biggest multinational corporations by creating specialized branches and local companies in strategic countries.

According to the ASUS’s organizational Chart, there are four main departments under the Chair, which are the Chairman Office, Corporate Sustainability Office, Labor Safety and Health Office and the Stock Affairs Office. Meanwhile, there are also four main departments under the CEO: CEO office, Da Vinci Innovation Lab, Lean Management Office and Quality Committee. There are several foundation functions of companies which include System Business group, Open Platform Business Group, R&D Center, ASUS Design Center, Firmware R&D Center, EM and Wireless Communication R&D division, Power R&D division, Customer Service Center, Administration Center, Human Resource Division, MIS Center, Mobile Application Experience Center and Corporate Marketing Division.

We can see that ASUS is probably focusing a lot on producing quality products via several innovations
