Unethical Case

In reading chapter nine I do agree that trust is essential to any relationships. Having trust in the workplace increases our productivity and work efforts. It also delivers a work environment that encourages employees to open communication and encourages employees to share their concepts. I know when I worked at this one company there was a lack of trust between employees and supervisor. The supervisor would let every employee know that we could talk to her in confidence however the next day it is all over company. For example, I went to her about an employee doing some unethical things and she told me that what I say is in confidence. The next day I walked into work and everyone knew that I talked to her. After that, I stopped going to her about the behaviors that was going on with her employees.
Not having trust in my supervisor or the employees that I worked with made my job a lot harder where I did not want to go to work and when I was at work I hated it, I also had to look over my shoulder and making sure that I did my job correctly so they could not come up with anything and the clients could not even trust the employees. I know I did have two co-workers that I trusted and I went to them for advice to see how I can change a situation. The attitudes that the employees had was I am there for me and no one else and if they can get a head they would do anything.
Behavioral integrity that was mentioned I do agree with the statement because employees as well as leaders they must tell the truth and keep their promises. If I knew about this I would have wrote it on a sheet a paper and taped it up in my company. Because nobody wanted to tell the truth or they would blame others. Such as, one co-worker decided to take clients out using the company’s van and she was told not to but she did. Everyone knew about it and when she was asked about it she lied.
