Weakness

After completing the pre-test part of the self-awareness assessment, i realized that i had issues with self disclosure and openness to feedback. When i hear negative feedback about my self, i get very defensive and it clouds my judgment. Also it is very hard for me to open up to someone, even with those that are close to me. These emotional weakness will affect my way to make the right decision.

Strength

On the other hand, i have a pretty good understand of my own values and emotional intelligence. Part of my own values came from my family background, I learned that treat others like how you wanted others to treat you. So i feel like my personal standards and principles will guide me when i make the right decision. I’m also very mature when it comes to changes. I know that if you don’t accept the changes, then you will not be accepted.

How to improve.

After knowing my weakness, I need to change how i act when others give me a negative feedback. I need to tell my self that they are trying to help me by telling me my weakness. Also in order for me to improve, i need to share my feelings and thoughts with others so they can give me the correct advices. This way sometimes i will not feel angry and depressed without any reason. I believe that this is very important not just for being a good manager, but also for being a better person overall.
