There are four major types of biographical characteristics , they are age ,gender, marital status and tenure. I will venture to discuss the characteristic of tenure .Tenure refers to the period of time that an individual has been employed to an organization. An individual’s tenure can be is calculated upon his/her start date of employment up until the present date ,providing that they are still employed to the organization.

The abovementioned characteristics has the ability to make them substantially different from others. Tenure as the ability to impact an individual’s behavior and attitude to his/her job. Hence the difference between employees and their productivity .

Providing that an employee has been employed to an organization for approximately fifteen(15) years and is in a committed relationship namely a marriage ,also in this marriage there are children and this employee may also be in that stage of their career when they are acquiring assets whilst trying to achieve upward mobility within their organization .This individual based on this individual based on their tenure of employment with the organization is less likely underperform at their assigned tasks .These factors allow this individual to be different from his/her counterparts/co-workers as they are less likely to separate themselves from the organization ,as they are in an advanced stage in their career and also this life cycle . In all actuality the reality is that they have too much at stake to leave an organization without a valid reason for their separation from the organization.

To venture in continuance of explaining the created scenario, in comparison to a university graduate who has recently been employed to the organization. The possibility exist that this employee is likely to leave the organization if he/she experiences discomfort within the organization or with the assigned tasks. The individual may leave because they may be in search of job-satisfaction,
