Challenge of American

Sometimes I don’t want to cook, so I will order food online, Domino’s pizza is my favorite food, I often order the handmade pizza and chicken wings from yelp, and its flavor is amazing! I like order food online, because I needn’t talk to them and I think my English is not good.

        One day, when I wanted to order the pizza, but I found their website doesn’t deliver to my apartment, I tried many times and it still didn’t work. Finally, I ordered other food online. I was so upset.

When I went to the restaurant, if I don’t know the name of the food, I can told the waiter by pointed the picture or by gesture. Sometime I searched or translated the name on my phone, so I will talked to the waiter confidently. If I couldn’t see the menu clearly, I would rather cook by myself, because I am shy and other people will laugh me when I make a mistake.

I received a Domino’s coupon and a cup on campus from a beautiful girl last semester, I miss Domino’s pizza so much, and my friends told me you can call their phone ask them why they don’t deliver to your apartment. Obviously, I refused because I was afraid of talking to other people. Actually, I thought about it all the way, when I came home, I decided call their phone.

This is a big step!

First, I called this number, a girl picked up. She said some words, but I didn’t understand, so I wasn’t say anything. And she said again, I still didn’t understand, then I said ‘hello?’ she repeated that sentence, I was almost crazy. She spoke so fast and has some accent, then she hung up the phone. I thought about a while and called the number again. A boy picked up the phone this time, and he said ‘delivery or pick up’, I said ‘delivery’. Then I ordered the pizza and chicken wings by watching the menu on my computer, I searched this words how to say advance. I told him my card number and my address, I can understand all the words what he said. I was so proud of myself.
