Dear Ms. Rosalina Tuyuc,
My name is Crystal Blandon, I'm a student at the Western Technical-Commercial school. I'm inspired by the work you have done to stop violence against indigenous people in Guatemala and fighting for justice. It takes courage and bravery to fight for what we want to put an end to. We know that when fighting for justice, there will be consequences. During your journey into fighting for human rights, you have been persecuted, but that hasn't stopped you from fighting. And as a result, you made a difference in society. As a fighter, we understand that backing down or quitting will not get us what we desire. I've learned so much about you and where 'fighting for human rights' began. You founded an organization called The National Coordinator of Widows of Guatemala as a response to the suffering of women in rural areas amid the internal armed conflict of Guatemala. You've devoted your life to fighting for respect and dignity towards the women in the rural areas that suffered from the conflict. You dedicated your life to fight for human rights, justice, and to put an end to violence against indigenous people. I want to thank you for what you have done as an activist for fighting and dedicating your life to people in Guatemala. Its people like you who make a huge difference in the world.
Sincerely Crystal Blandon,
