Court Upholds Marriage Bans in Four States
This news is about same sex marriage. The article is all about the different stands on the issue from both enthusiasts and people against same sex marriage. Some have stated that it contradicts with what we believe in, but others say that people deserve to choose who they want to marry. Given all the different and contracting ideas and opinions, it’s safe to say that this issue probably won’t be solved soon. Though there have been attempts to try to fix it immediately. Seeing all the limited results, we can safely conclude that this issue will not be solved in a while.
I support the stand that everyone has the right to marry someone they love. Sex doesn't matter. We really have to consider the real meaning of equality and give everyone equal rights. I am sure that most of us have some friends with different sexual orientations who are attracted to people of the same sex. They also have the right to marry their lovers in the same way as a man can marry to a woman. You see that same sex marriage is a lot like feminism. There are people who keep it simple that really give women the rights they deserve. While others who take it too far that use feminism as an excuse to cover up their bad actions.
We have to limit how much it affects us, but also consider and accept the changes it would make to our community. Though it won't directly affect all of us, it surely will indirectly affect us in a way. We might have relatives that are homosexual who have relationships, but cannot get married due to the law not being approved. We should put ourselves in their shoes, and try to help them to have the equal rights like us. Equality is really what we have to consider the most. How can we really achieve equality when we deprive simple rights away from others?
At first glance, it seems that the author is pretty neutral about the stand, though actually you can see that the author is biased about taking the side against same sex marriage. Clearly stating more information about how same sex marriage is a bad thing. Posting more statements like "If the court reversed the decisions, it would create chaos". The author does make statements supporting it. Besides, the numbers of quotes and statements against it, however, greatly outnumber the quotes for it.
There is a high chance that Same Sex Marriage could affect so many other things. By approving, we are particularly saying that marrying someone of the same sex is not necessarily bad. We can say that there is a chance that this will possibly change the way people in the society think. More importantly, there probably would be more cases of homosexuality. The event is an issue of significance because it could reshape the society's mindset. As stated earlier, we have to respect and encourage other people's rights, but we should also limit how it affects all of. After all, giving people rights is good, but we should consider what impact it might bring to the society.

Court Upholds Marriage Bans in Four States
By ERIK ECKHOLMNOV. 6, 2014
A federal appeals court in Ohio upheld on Thursday the right of four states to ban same-sex marriage, contradicting rulings by four similar courts and almost certainly sending the issue on a rapid trajectory to the Supreme Court.
