Dishonesty Case

Academic dishonesty can be defined in a simple word called cheating, but the greater extent of this problem is how human, or we, see and perceived this kind of dishonesty. Does one loose integrity and pride when committing this? Or does it prove that academic dishonesty has know became a part of student’s everyday life?

There are several factors, behaviors, and practices that are involved when it comes to academic dishonesty. Upon the conduct of survey, 10 out of 10 random selected students from first year finance student, stated and answered the survey paper, readily and easily without questions. With this, we can see that first year finance students, take academic dishonesty lightly and not a serious case of misconduct. This kind behavior has been acquired through the evolution of generation.

Base on the research conducted, first year finance students also, shall and will offer information to their classmates for a piece of candy or anything that is related to food and money, or vice versa. It is quite alarming that for a very low amount of something in exchange, a student is willing to behave misconduct. To this we can conclude that a first year finance student now days, has a behavior of lack of judgment for this kind and matter of things. Few stated that they will not go too far on committing academic dishonesty in exchange of their pride, reputation and integrity for they give value to the conduct they behave.

Upon research, the practices of this generation in terms of academic cheating has solely improved and innovated, but for a matter of this, it is not very likely to be accepted in schools and institutions. After the gathering and collection of data, the research conducted shows that the most commonly used practice in academic dishonesty is resourcefulness from their other classmates. It is quite an unpleasant to see, how one student shall feed off to the knowledge of the other just to pass their subject and classes.
