Nowadays education quality is very low. Some people think we should encourage our students to evaluate and criticise their teachers. Others believe that it will result in a loss of respect and discipline in the classroom. Discuss on both sides.

 

The education is the essential factors directly affect young generation so that increasing education quality is necessary. The argument that student are able to give feedback for their teachers is a subject that is both supported and refuted by many. Both sides of this argument will be analyzed before a reasoned conclusion is drawn.

Firstly, it is easy to see the education quality will be improved through student’s critique. At the end of a course, student are gave an evaluation sheet to evaluate their teacher in plenty of international school. Thereby collecting the evaluation sheet, teacher easily improve their style of work to harmoniously merge with the needs of students. The operation structure is same as doing market research to consume products.

However, on the other side of this argument, it must be remembered that losing of respect and discipline in the classroom. For example, almost children think that learning is more of a chore than a pleasure, so that requiring the watchful eye of a teacher to ensure that they are indeed completing their class work and not goof around during class time. Therefore the evaluation sheet become a shield to against their teacher’s administration.

In summary, both sides of the argument regarding the possibility of student criticize their teacher have strong support. However, after analyzing the two camps it is clear that the idea of having a evaluation sheet in class is materialized in specific case. It is just applied to  colleges and universities where alumnus are enough age to identify right and wrong.
