Illustrative Thesis;
PTSD has become a major issue in military community and it has been difficult challenge for many people to live their everyday lives. The National Health Study for a New Generation of United States claims that in one major study of 60,000 Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, 13.5% of deployed and nondeployed veterans screened positive for PTSD, while other studies show the rate to be as high as 20% to 30%. Antidepressants are currently the preferred initial class of medications for PTSD, with the strongest empirical evidence available to support the use of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).
Audience: Military psychologist students and service members.
Narrative Thesis;
Hurricane Katrina was making landfall on the next morning and by this time, New Orleans was already gaining heavy flooding. As the hurricane was gaining momentum towards the land, New Orleans percentage of getting hit was extreme. Meanwhile New Orleans’ problems just got worse when all the drainage started to clog and all sewage systems began to fail. The city was already rising in water and one major factor that played in this event was the fact most cities was below sea level was bound to flood.
Audience: Architects, Engineers, and Government officials
Descriptive Thesis;
For some overgrown juniper bushes can be a problem and revert to cutting them down. Having thick trunks with red center and smell like cedar. Leaving just a bit of green at the end of long piece off each trunk. Wondering if there is a chance that the truck will sprout new growth and increasing the ground to be filled with new plants during the spring.
Audience: Gardeners or garden hobbyist.
