Descriptive Essay

Vivid family photograph

Family is the important people in our lives who are always beside us in every situation – happy or sad. They create many different memories with us and there is a happy moment that we cannot forget. A photo is the best concrete proof that describes our vivid moment with family. We can bring the photo anywhere when we are far apart from our lovely family, and it will remind us of them wherever we go. Therefore, a beauty of a family picture is that it captures a thousand of memories because we cannot repeat the wonderful moment that we had.

The family photo is put on a lamp table near my bed. The photo is situated directly in front of my face on the pillow, so this is the best location for me to easily take a look at my family’s faces before I go to sleep. It feels like they are beside me and keep me company while I sleeping. The photo is a contemporary frame which is a chic design; a black photo frame has a dazzling filigree that is accented with superbly sparkling crystal. In addition, it is rectangular shaped with the measurement of 10"x 8" that is suitable, and the precise size to put on the table lamp. Every night before I sleep, the photo attracts my touch. I feel the smooth of the glass that covers my family photo and instantly makes me remember our splendid holiday.

The photo shows a cheerful face of my family members. On the left, is me wearing a complete swimming attire, holding a small bucket in my right hand. Next to me, there is my sister who is shorter than me even though she is a year older. She is a very kind, and helpful person. For example, if I do not have enough money to buy a cloth that I absolutely like, she willing to give her money without wanting me to pay it back to her. Then, you can see a sweet couple, of my parents, at the center of the photo; also, my dad has his hand on mom's shoulder, and she is giving him a beatific smile. On the right side, my grandma is standing behind my brother who is sitting in the wheelchair. He is disabled and cannot do anything without other’s help since he was a baby; therefore, everywhere he goes he needs to sit in a wheelchair. In front of my parents, my younger brother is kneeling while holding up both of his thumbs to expose his excitement, and looks like he is enjoying this moment. The funniest part is my younger brother smile, I can see his bad teeth, the two front upper teeth are missing and I sarcastically called him grandpa.
