GENDER NORMS
People are expected to behave in certain ways according to their gender, their sex orientation or even being accociated to some roles. Gender norms do affected everybody because it's like a cultural guide way for us to follow in order to be recognized as a male or female. For example I am a guy and everybody expect me to behave like a male but in the other way round I choose to behave like female. People around me will always laugh at me and call me a gay because I have violated the norms. The reason why I say this is because I have ones being told by my father that I used to behave like a girl when I was in my early childhood. I didn't want to believe that but my mother later told me it was true. I was like what??? I went to bathroom and looked at myself twice in the mirror. If I could remember well, that day was the only time I ever sat down for a long time to talk with my parents. From that day I realised that communication is very importnat regardless wherever you find yourself.
SYMBOLIC CODES
This symbols are unique and are used by people that belongs to some type of group. The code is required from members whenever they come together to do something secret. For example I once followed my friend to a night club and when we arrived, I saw people making some signs with their fingers that allowed them to get into the club. When I reached the gate, the guy that was standing there didn't want to let me in because I did not make the sign that can get me in.
