Introduction
With the social development, there have been a lot of new things come into people's life and have changed, or totally revolutionized the way people live, the birth of information systems is an example. There are some people holding an opinion that "Information systems have revolutionized the way we work", in this article, the author will critically discuss this statement from how it changed the way we work and the way what we did not change. Also analysis in two concepts, what is information systems and organizations and their information systems needs.
Information systems
Information systems, is a set of interrelated components used to collect, retrieve, process, store and distribute information‘ a set of people, procedures and resources that collects data which it transforms and disseminates' (Boddy et al. 2008). By using Tools (e.g. computer), Techniques (know-how) (e.g. running software) and Human activity/practice (use of computer or a software)
Benefits in Manufacturing
Today, technology has greatly benefited the manufacturing industry. Increased automation and the introduction of robots on the assembly line have allowed heavy goods such as cars to be created quickly and efficiently. Advances in technology have also allowed construction sites and factories to become safer. Inventions such as first aid kits and hard hats for construction have helped to minimize workplace accidents and deaths.
The increase in automated manufacturing has also created secondary businesses that build and maintain the robots used in manufacturing. Another example is businesses that supply farms with machines
