Futbal [sok-er]; definition - A game in which you actually have to be able to run for at least 90 minutes straight (unlike “American Football' where they stop “playing” every 2 minutes). They say that, “beauty” is in the eyes of the beholder; it goes the same for soccer, you either like it or you don't. It involves speed, strength, skill as well as a load of practice and dedication. It's harder than it looks. Soccer actually requires physical skill and mental toughness. It's a game of physical contact, you cant be afraid to hurt someone. Picture this; a 120x90m green field, with 22 players (11 of them are on your side). Each one of these players are trained to control a 16oz size ball, and their objective is to make it in a 8 yard wide, and 8 feet high size goal in 90 minutes. The rules of soccer are very simple, basically it is this: if it moves, kick it, if it doesn't move, kick it until it does. Cant get any more simple then that.
Soccer to me isn't just a sport, it's my life. It takes passion to play the game, but it's that same passion that makes everything worth while. Being an individual you can get a lot of things out of playing soccer. You'll get great exercise, coordination skills, and along with it comes endurance, speed and stamina. Society couldn't ask for a better sport to have. You can get great entertainment from the world cup, and with playing soccer, it helps you with your cooperation skills.
One of the best advantages that people get from playing soccer is the exercise. I'm known to be a sugar addict; so for me, playing soccer is the best way to stay active. I have been around sports my whole life, and for me soccer is a physical contact sport that helps me exercise every part of my body. It's a sport that requires a lot of energy to play. There's short sprints, long jogs, long runs, pushing, and shoving. It's just an all around active sport. You might not know you're doing that much to your body, because soccer is meant to be fun, not hard work. Although there is work required for you to do during the game, the best part is that you get to share the experience with the people around you. Being active is good for you in so many ways. It can provide a huge range of fun experiences, make you feel good, improve your health, and is a great way to relax and enjoy the company of your friends. Research has shown that just being outside, and exercising with the right food and diet; you will add years to your lifespan. I did not realize all the health benefits that come from playing soccer regularly; it doesn't just help you on the outside, but also on the inside. You will discovered that you'll feel better after playing in a soccer game. All the running and physical movement on your body cause you to produce endorphin. Endorphin makes you happy; being happy makes you have a better vision of life. Soccer indeed is fun
