INTI International University, Laureate International Universities is a private university located in, Putra Nilai Negeri Sembilan, about 50 km from the center of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was known as INTI University College until 31 May 2010 when the Higher Education Ministry announced its upgrade to university status. It is owned by INTI Education Group that has formalized its partnership with Laureate International Universities in 2008. Programmers offered in International University include pre-university and foundation studies, diploma; degrees included homegrown and overseas transfers, and postgraduate degrees. To start off the background and the history of this INTI International University. In the year of 1986, Mr. Tan Yew Sing and a group of shareholders namely Tan Sri Abdul Majid, Dr Lee Fah Onn, Chia Soong Koon, Low Sik Thong, Lim Ho Ping, Joyce Yuen and Teng Choo Kuang found the first INTI College in Bangunan Sim Lim, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur. In this 2 and a half years, there were a rapid growth of student enrollment and INTI college had moved to Wisma SCA in Sungai Besi. In 1990, a brand new campus in Subang Jaya was developed when the faulty in INTI realized that they need to provide more facilities for students. INTI had slowly extended their colleges to several regions such as Sarawak as INTI College, Sarawak (ICSK) in year 1992, Sabah as INTI College Sabah, Kota Kinabalu (ICS) in year 1993, INTI College Malaysia (ICM) in Putra Nilai, INTI College Penang in year 2000 and the most recent city campus, INTI International College Kuala Lumpur (IICKL) in year 2013. Apart from that, Genting INTI International College, Metropolitan College, and PJ College of Arts and Design are the three new associate campuses established by INTI Universal Holdings Berhad.
