Is music better now or was it better in the 1990’s?

History of music has changed a lot through history. Deciding if music is better now or was it better in the 1990’s is a really good question. New technologies starting in the amplifiers, guitars, bass, pedals until the new synthesizer and effects the music industry has develop; makes this a very interesting theme to write about. In my personal opinion, I prefer nowadays music than in the 1990’s for several reasons. First of all, new technologies; second, final products and third; the importance of current bands, makes me decide for this period of time.

Music industries, and music engineers have develop a better technology for musicians. Amplifiers, music consoles, pedals, etc, have made the musicians produce a better and modern sound. The mix of technology and old school sounds made actual music better. In the 90’s, it was in a majority a digital sound.

Nowadays music is much more developed than back in the 90’s. In that days, for the artist and productors was more important the digital sounds than the natural sound of the guitars, piano, bass. On the other side, the reappearance of the natural sound in these days is something very pleasant for music lovers. Music scales implemented in the instruments in actual music, are very interesting and commercial (Six Decades).

Bands such as The Black Keys, Maroon 5, Velvet Revolver, The Killers, MGMT, Kings of Leon, etc; are some of the examples of bands that are very recognized in these days. In the other hand, musical groups that started appearing in the 1990 are: The Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Britney Spears, etc. The 90’s were characterized of being an epoch that pop was the best music, and they prioritized a computerized music sound.
