To judge the character of Julius Caesar we must look at the characters into the play to accumulate a perspective, as this will provide an understanding of the conclusive conflicting perspectives.

In the early scenes of the play, we see the crowd or the mob loving Caesar and rejoice his return

with celebrations and chanting of "hail Caesar" repeatedly forgetting about Pompey. As the mob believes, Caesar can promote Rome and expands its dominance.

In scene 2, Cassius is the only one who genuinely hates Caesar for a valuable reason of this being jealousy "I was born free as Caesar, so were you; We both have fed as well, and we can both Endure the winter's cold as well as he". Through the manipulation of Cassius, we see that Brutus now is

also heavily against Caesar. There is an argument to whether or not Brutus's reason for hating

Caesar is justifiable. The most common view of most people is that he thinks Caesar is

"too ambitious" which evident in his soliloquy after Caesar's death. However, when we look

back at Act 2 Brutus has to justify to him of why he needs to kill Caesar.

Furthermore, in the Act, it is clear that Casca is heavily against Caesar. This is shown in the scene of when Cassius and Brutus, particularly the rejection of the crown by Caesar several times. When Cassius and Brutus ask Casca more questions about Caesar's arrival Casca answers them with excitement and deceit towards Caesar through the use of " I am sure Caesar fell down…" referring

to Caesar's seizures as a weakness. Cinna a member of the senate is already in support of Cassius

and Brutus. Calpurnia dreams about Caesar in which he is murdered
