Know thyself
My five themes in order are ideation, restorative, learner, input, and intellection. First, the test defines people who are ideation as someone who are generally fascinated by ideas. This means that individual tend to look deeper into the concept of how thing became the way that they are. These kinds of mind are “intrigued when seemingly disparate phenomena can be linked by an obscure connection.” These connections are important because it tied and explain how the world operates. This is all about connecting things and over-analyzing a problem Sometime I run out of time on exams trying to over analyses and connecting every idea that pops into my head. In the case of philosophical point, it only get worse when I’m trying to bring Rawl, Rousseau, and Locke and so forth into a single question about justice.
Second, people who inhibit the restorative theme are “energized” to solve problem. The ideas of breaking down challenging problems and analyzing the underlining cause to the root of the problem are interesting and appealing to these people. For me this hold true in terms of group works. Usually I put in lots of effort to make sure everyone is on the right track. It’s fun to discusses ideas or debates it current standing with someone who is trying to find their own solution too.
Third, learners are individual who love to learn. This means that they are more interested in the processes of how they obtain information and solving a problem compare to the “result”. This mean the means are significantly more important than the ends. This is true in some subject while completely false in another. I know when it comes to math and science I like to know the answer first before anything else. Usually I work backward; first I look at the solution and attempted to do the math following the procedures established. Here, it is not the mean that justified the mean, rather it’s how the ends justified the means.
Fourth, to simply put individual with the input theme are collectors. This could ranges from anything and everything. Yet, during the time of acquisition those items or collectable may not make. This is one of the strongest themes I see myself doing all the time. I don’t like to throw thing. Instead I would put them into junk drawers that have everything ranging from feather to dream catcher and the like. However, currently I have been collecting more of the fortune from the fortune cookies. They’re interesting!
Lastly, intellection are people who like to think therefore they are more likely spending time alone to reflect and get lost “in their thought.” They may become discontent with their theory and how they ought to fit into it. I do love to think! It’s why I play the devil-advocated most of the time even on topic that I don’t care about. I am able to do that because I spend most of my time alone trying to reflect on the course of the day
