High competition in the market is one of the most powerful components that could directly impact to Toyota. As of now the current economic situation especially in Thailand automotive business seems to reach the maturity stage therefore, a lot of company try to change and develop new cars in order to beat with other companies and to gain market share. From this reason it forces Toyota to change their new design and add more function to the product but sometimes thing may not goes in the way they expect some program or campaign are failed.
Regarding to unexpected situation, sometimes natural disasters like flood, storm, fire all of unexpected situation could impact to the company. If the company encounter with this situation, the company may have to stop production or strike. Furthermore, natural disaster may cause a major damage to the machine or products which result company to have a negative profit. As you can see example in Thailand last 2 years ago Bangkok has encounter with flood many companies are affected by this situation. Toyota is one of the company that has a huge impact on flood, it results all machine that use in assembly-line are ruin. Over 300 cars that ready to serve the customers are damaged from this unexpected situation. However, natural disaster is out of human control but what company could do is to prepare before it occur again.
New emission standard, the government may increase the quality standard on production and operation therefore, this could be a threat for the company. Company may have to reengineer their assembly system in order to reach the standard of production that government regulated.
