Ans 1: The four stages of team development forming, storming, Norming and Performing are very well illustrated in “13 going on 30” video clip.

First stage for any group formation may be referred as the forming stage. In this stage team members learn about each other. During this phase members may be seemed to be concerned, confused or excited for being in the new environment. As it is illustrated in the video clip; when main actress’s favourite music was played, at first place she seemed hesitant and curious, but as she started dancing with all her confidence and capability. She encouraged other team members from the audience to come and join her on the stage. As it can been seen in the clip the only main actress took initiative to call another staunch person to join her at the stage.  In the beginning other members in the audience were seen curious but hesitant to dance with. Although shortly after they joined her on stage and started to follow her moves and a team formation stage was complete.

During the storming stage all team members shows their effort to gain trust of others in their team. Team members try different approaches to establish better relations with other members. Similar scenario could also be seen in the clip when the other members from the audience joined on the stage. They pushed themselves to perform their best and to match their moves with the main team player.

Norming stage may be referred as when team member become proficient at their assigned tasks. In this stage, team members are able to identify the strengths and weakness of their team members. As we can see in the video clip, that the audience get in same musical swing as the main actress. Dancers were also seen appreciating moves of other team members while performing in the same pattern as a team.

In performing stage members becomes proficient at their tasks. Members become capable enough to act effectively in organized manner. They are close to achieve their team’s goals. As it is shows in the clip, even though the main actress had to discontinue for a short while but the rest of the group kept dancing in same passion. Every person on the stage was found excited and enjoying their part in the team.
