Polygamy is the practice of having more than one husband or wife at the same time. It has multiple partners at one time. Marriage was mostly known for being practiced in Utah. It's now practiced in Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and Canada to name a few. Most people wonder if it's even legal or not while another worry about getting out. People marry someone that their parents feel is the right match for them.
The truth is that there's nothing more traditional than family and its values and the practice of multiple marriages. Polygyny, now called Polygamy is the marriage of various women to one man that on the world history. It's now only really practiced in countries that are the moron, where they call it monogamy.
Polygamy has become a topic of the mainstream culture through the accounts of the polygamist families. The news outlets and television have changed its main thoughts of a form of marriage. These are the kind of intimacy that two or more individual's union. The different wives are more common when the media starts learning about these relationships. With that being said in this union this type of union requires an understanding of the different player's social behaviors, of husband and wife. The society understands the similarities and differences that are occurring, rather than the typical patterns that there use to.
It's illegal in the United States and its dangerous and affects children on welfare emotionally, physically, and mentally. Its affects children that are involved tremendously and the family structure impact the mental health of children. Studies show that children from polygamous families tend to have more significant problems than the children from monogamous families. They also had a poor self-concept and higher rates of school attrition, sexual activity, drug abuse, and alcoholism.
Polygamy is merely an excuse for getting away with behaving self-indulgently and recklessly. It is a temporary escape for couples who no longer want to endure the hardships of marriage and no longer desire to put effort into making the relationship work. It destroys the intimacy and trust between a man and a woman. The truth is coupled need to think of the consequences that polygamy causes.
