When I first entered TTHTI, I was unaware of what I was in for when it came to subjects in school. When I first got the time table I watched it and the first thing that caught my attention was Self Enhancement. I was curious to know what it had to do with Food and Beverage. I missed a few sessions due to work, but when I was able to attend the class my whole perception about it had changed when I first saw Mr Chambers in the class. His appearance wasn’t what I had expected, I was more looking for a high colour person that maybe wasn’t from Trinidad, because it was the first time I have ever heard about Self Enhancement. Nevertheless, i sat and listen to what Mr Chambers had to say. Within less than half an hour he had my full attention.

However, things started to come together when it came to my personality. Every class Mr Chambers opened my eyes to things about myself that didn’t really seemed important. Hr taught us to write about our feelings, in forms of journals which i began doing. The first journal was my background. I explained to sir about my past and how i wasn’t raised by my dad but by my mother. I never got my father’s role model but i got my mother’s role model, which I didn’t do too bad with.

In class sometimes I listen to some of the other students speak about problems which is minor compare to some of the things other students been through and is still facing. I am a leader, an achiever, I a cautious and adaptable. Besides having God in my life, these are the things that got me this far in life. Those are the things that I took from my mother and put into practise every day. E.S.F.P means Extrovert, Sensing, Feeling and Perceiving. This is the meaning of me. When sir explained it I said to myself this is exactly me and how could strangers that doesnt know me could explain so much about me. Another word that sir used to describe me was being an Energizer, and again he was correct. Being an Energizer isnt always easy to keep up with once you are not being yourself.
