The mountains don’t only close you in to feel like you are trapped inside of a small box, but they take each breath you try to breath out of you as if someone just punched you in the chest. Aspen is known for skiing, there are four mountains; one is located in the town of Aspen, which is Aspen Mountain, then a few miles outside in the direction of Glenwood springs are Highlands mountains; which is know for Highlands bowl, and Buttermilk. Then there is the over populated ski mountain Snowmass, which has been turned into an enormous resort. Those are just the ski slopes; you haven’t seen true beauty until you set your eyes on the Maroon Bells. Just the title itself gives it away “Maroon Bells” obviously there is an eye full of color painted across them from looking at Maroons, but “Bells” doesn’t exactly give you an idea until you’ve seen it in person. In the wintertime they are off limits to the public because they are too difficult to access. In the summer the public is open to visit the eye-catching beautiful mountains. Once you step foot outside your car the smell of flowers pollen blowing in the breeze catches your nasals attention. There is only one access road in and out so in the summer you will see all kinds of people coming up.

Downtown Aspen is the place where you want to be at least more than twice when you visit. In the beginning it may be confusing with the streets but once you go there for the second time you will know it rather well. Families stroll up and down the sidewalks with the kids making high pitch screeches because they see all the dissimilar bakeries and candy shops lining the streets, once they have their cake batter ice cream in hand they see the fountains and dart to them acting like the ice cream was never in their hand. At Christmas time celebrities are on almost every other block, say you just wanted to look behind you to make sure you didn’t pass the place you were looking for but instead a moving person catches
