The Art Of Racing In The Rain Final Essay.

Life, life is weird and strange, it is not fair, it is cruel, and quite frankly messed up, but it can also be a wonderful thing if made so! Everyday people whom are innocent get wrongfully convicted of crimes they did not commit, every day people who are just trying to scrape by get robbed by banks that do not need anymore, but want to take more. The people of this great country are dying daily on the battlefield trying to support what they believe in and worst thing is that they think they are doing the right thing and supporting what they believe in, but in reality most of the war fought in the last 20 years were driven by corporate greed and they have been essentially brainwashed into supporting these massive corporations whom which are lead by a wealthy few. But within all this darkness there are a small few who stand up against what they know is wrong much like Denny did in ~Garth Stein, The Art of Racing in the Rain, 2008 he overcame the challenges he faced although he came close to crumbling.

Denny is faced with many challenges during his lifetime The first one being Eve’s sickness. Eve is a very wonderful and great person who is extremely passionate about her family for example when Eve was sick lying in the twins house Enzo got put in the garage by Eve’s “caretaker” which resulted in Eve getting enzo so he would not have to sleep out in the cold garage (also because Enzo provided Eve with a sense of familiarity). Eve is very unlucky in her life though, she ended up coming down with very late stage cancer “And I knew that once they identified her disease for her, once everyone around her accepted her diagnosis and reinforced it and repeated it back to her time and again, there was no way she could stop it. The visible becomes inevitable. Your car goes where your eyes go. ~Garth Stein, The Art of Racing in the Rain, 2008 (Enzo)” which Enzo is able to smell but is not able to communicate it to anyone because “he is a human soul trapped in the body of a dog” ~Garth Stein, The Art of Racing in the Rain, 2008 (Enzo). Denny is in a lot of emotional pain but he still has hope; which almost becomes a distant memory as the years progressed

After Eve’s passing Denny is faced with a countless number of issues; the twins (Eve’s parents) want custody of Dennys 5 year old daughter Zoe, but neither Zoe and or Denny want that. The Twins realized that they could not get custody of her without some false allegations, these allegations being rape of annika, a fifteen year old girl that is related to Denny. During a winter trip to a ski resort, Annika is a part of Denny’s group. Being a fifteen year old girl she quickly became more than just infatuated with this young looking semi pro and or pro race car driver aka Denny. Annika spends most of her trip trying to get close to Denny, she tries to slowly seduce him
