The Changes in My Hometown

All things are changing, though it changes soundlessly. My hometown is a small city belongs to Jiangsu province called Suzhou which is extremely near shanghai, it only takes one hour from Suzhou to Shanghai by car. Although it is not as famous as Beijing or shanghai, everyone in China knows this wonderful place. When I was a child, I always hear my parents talk about my hometown, it has changed a lot in many ways during the past few years, it is different now and it is changing continuously these days.

The most notable change I have found is the building facilities. Suzhou has a history of 2500 years, there are many private gardens which used to be someone's house in the past. Such as the Humble Administrator's Garden, Master of the Nets Garden and Lion Grove Garden. Afterwards, these beautiful gardens are becoming famous tourist attractions in Suzhou. In the impression of my childhood, there are fewer tall buildings in my hometown. Since Suzhou is an ancient town, people here used to lived in old messuages, but more and more tall buildings were built during these years, people move to the flat and overlook the beautiful view enjoy the comfortable life. Nowadays the designers usually integrated modern buildings concepts with Western and Eastern culture to make the buildings more different. I think this change is great because it makes Suzhou become more modernization.

As we know, change is a double-edged sword, it also has brought some negative effect while it benefits us a lot. There is a popular Chinese saying "Just as there is paradise in heaven, there are Suzhou and Hangzhou on earth." It was deemed to "The second Venice in the world" by people. By this token, Suzhou is such a beautiful city. However, as it is developing the economy, the environmental pollution has become an important problem.
