- Sps agreement; science really important. You can protect your law as wto but has to be science based.

Week 6
- Precautionary principle
- Uncertain risk . if there is scientific uncertainty the PP applies
- EU commission communication and case law. After bse case. Bse case 180/69 uk challenged ban on export and court of justice gave definition. Safeguard clause is expression of PP . can also be autroization mechanism. First PP before put on market.
- Differences between sps and general food law. Art 5,7. If you don’t have sufficient scientific evidence is SPS agreement and PP is about uncertainty.
