For me, Professional Work Placement if when a student is sent out to the real industry, where he will be able to apply all the theories and skills he has learned in the university. It usually takes place at the end of the course since students must first learn the needed skills and basic knowledge about the industry that they have chosen.
During internship, students are expected to ask as many questions as they can, at the same time, learn as much things as possible, especially things that they have not learned while they were still studying. Internship is also the best time to gain experiences and to present one's self to the organization as a prospective permanent employee.
This internship has helped me a lot in knowing who I am in terms of what I can do as well as what I'm supposed to improve. I have learned a lot of things that I was not able to learn inside the four walls of the classroom. I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to work for a temporary time in the real world. This made me realize how much studying and working differs from each other.
I had my ups and downs during my internship, but it is through these that I was able to acquire new knowledge. I have learned to be mature in terms of how I speak, act and think. I have made friends as well.
Internship is like a war and you're the one in charge of everything. You'll face so much challenges that will cause you bruises and burns. But in the end, if you win and finish it, you become a stronger and better person – mentally and emotionally.
In the future, I hope will be able to apply what I have learned in college as well as the things that I have learned during my industrial training to my work.
