Parenting: Millions of Possibilities

Who ever said you had to follow a specific set of guidelines or rules on parenting? Why should every parent be required to discipline their child or children the same way? These are just a couple questions that come to mind when I think about parental discipline. Everybody is different in his or her own special way, whether that is the parent or the child. Not all parents can discipline their children the same, and not all children will respond to the same discipline equally. When it comes down to the psychology, the mother knows best when disciplining their child. They know what will really discipline the child, because they know the child's preferences. I believe that parents should be able to discipline their children in ways they find fitting and effective.

Every child is different; therefore children have their own way of being disciplined. It is the parent's responsibility to be able to learn how to discipline their children in a fitting and effective manner. For example, Johnny's father may discipline him differently than Johnny's friend Billy's father will discipline Billy. To break it down even further, Johnny's father will more than likely discipline him differently than Johnny's own sister.

So many individuals in today's society feel the need to tell parents how to discipline their children. I, myself, do not have any children yet, however I can imagine the frustration of being told how to discipline my own children. One specific example comes to mind with a close friend of mine. She became pregnant and her mother practically disowned her. Six months after the baby was born her mother began to tell her how to raise the baby.

I can definitely understand getting parental advice
