Classical Era of India and China

During the eras of classical India and China, which was roughly from 300 BC to 500 AD, the main religions were HInduism and Confucianism.
Hinduism was the main religion in India, it was polytheistic, and they believed in reincarnation, Karma, Dharma and a harsh caste system. Confucianism was the main religion in China, they followed filial piety, the five relationships and the golden Hinduism and Confucianism are similar yet different at the same time.
Hinduism was the main religion in India as of 1500 BC. Hinduism is a polytheistic religion, which means that they believe in more than one god.(Document 1) For example their are three main gods Brahma is one of them. Brahma was the main god who was known as the creator. Vishnu was another one of the three main gods was known as the preserver. And Shiva who was known as or considered the destroyer. Believing in many gods gave people a way to personalize Hinduism. They believe in karma and reincarnation. Karma is the deeds you did to determine where you would be in your next life. And reincarnation is the belief that when you die their body dies but your soul is eternal, and your soul will go into another body. Which could also be determined by your placement in the caste system. In the caste system your goal was to kve up in the caste system, and be with the gods who are above the caste system. If you think you are above everyone else and don’t respect other people it means you have bad karma. Meaning you would probably end up moving down in the caste system
