Freedom of Speech

I believe that freedom of speech is one of the most important of the 8 we had to choose from. Freedom of speech is protected by the first amendment as well as the other seven. The first amendment was first adapted in December 15, 1791.

According to the bill of right everyone in the United States has the right to speak. If would not have the right to speak, how will the problems will ever get fixed? Whenever we have problems or concerns we have to let the government know. For example, if the police department is doing something wrong. Or any opinions we had to make the United States a better place. Freedom of speech plays a big role in the constitution but we all know it is not just about freedom of speech.

The bill of right must have taken a lot of time to come up with the correct and equal right for all. It was not done correctly the first time but as time went by we the people started adding to errors we came across.

If there was no freedom of speech we would have no right to express our way of thinking because we would more likely end up in jail. With no freedom of speech the United States will never progress because we the people would probably end up breaking the law which may cause more problems.

I believe that the world would be a different story without freedom of speech because we would not be able to broad cast, advertize, or use the internet as we all do now a days. This is why I think freedom of speech is one of the most important decisions our constitution made.
