Jiang Kai-Shek

  Jiang Kai-Shek (1887-1975) is Republic of China’s (R.O.C) statesman and strategist; he also is president of R.O.C. Sun Yat-Sen is appreciation Jiang, of let he join Guomindong (GMD) and became famous person in political area. After Sun dead Jiang rule GMD for half of century during first until fifth president of R.O.C. He is first leader success rule China and let China became whole country. His important contribution has included Northern Expedition, Constitutionalism, Chinese Civil War, Defend Sino-Japanese War and Presidency in Taiwan. He is an important person in China’s modern history.

  Jiang born in 1887, Zhejiang, China, in east of China. He bore in salt merchant business family. He is interest in military school, so in 1906, he decides to go to Japan and join military school, but he can’t admission. During Jiang study in Japan, he effect by Marxism in Japan, so decide study about Marxism book and magazine, he thinks if need to solve the problem of China, must kill all of the Bourgeoisie.

  1911, Xinhai Revolution erupts, Jiang come back China and join revolution. In 1912, Jiang killed Sun’s friends, and abscond to Japan. After Jiang come back, he joined GMD, and first time meet Sun and discussing about China’s future. During he join GMD, he also join Green Gang in Shanghai.

  1926 Jiang starts Northern Expedition and crusade other warlord in China, after few year Jiang recover whole China and became a first leader of China. During his military attack Shanghai, he initiation Shanghai Massacre, purpose is to killed all of the communists in city, after this case, GMD and CCP break and start both civil war for about ten years. After he finish Northern Expedition, GMD change it’s flag to blue and red color, announced they cover whole China. During 1927, Jiang married Sung Meiling, she is the important person of GMD, helps GMD a lot during retreated to Taiwan and Chinese Civil War communicate with US.

  During 1927 to 1937 Jiang toilsome build China, include military, education and building, those motivations until Nanjing occupy by Japanese, Jiang called Golden Years in those ten years. Some of Western country also diplomatic with China and trade by China. At this time Communist is fight with GMD, CCP use guerrilla war to reduce GMD. Until 1936 Japanese attack China Jiang stop his Golden Years, and also cooperated with CCP to defeat Japanese in Northeast China.

  In 1931, Japanese launch Mukden Incident and attack China in Northeast territory. CCP and GMD cooperated and defeat Japanese together with CCP, at first Jiang lose and retreat to Chongqing, during this time, Jiang set up a “New County” system, this system helps Taiwan a lot. After Japanese surrender, China became world forth strength country in the world, with US, UK and USSR.
