Welcome to India. The land of joy and tranquility, the land that will enchant you with its beauty, enrich you with its culture, embrace you with its warmth and overwhelm you with its hospitality.
The Indian society is unique for a number of reasons. One is striking irony. Despite the existence of different cultures, one observes the desire to retain a common identity. One of the fascinations of India is the juxtaposition of the old and the new; centuries of history from the pre-historic Indus civilization to the British Raj rub shoulders with the computer age; and Bangalore’s Silicon Valley is as much a part of India as the remotest village is. The guiding principles of Indian Polity – democracy, pluralism, secularism and respect for law – have made India popular everywhere.
Religion dominates every aspect of Indian life. Despite being a secular democracy, India is one of the few countries in which social and religious structures have remained intact and inseparable, and have continued to do so for at least 4000 years despite various invasions, persecutions, colonialisms and political upheavals. Today these intertwined structures form the hallmark of India’s national identity.
The beauty of Indian people lies in their spirit of tolerance, friendliness and hospitality. Come and mix with the people. Get absorbed in our culture. Live in India not as a foreigner but as you would live in your home town. Experience our hospitality and friendship and you will soon realize that India is one of the most intricate and rewarding dramas unfolding on earth.
