i want world peace amoung us. Robert Doisneau, loving father, husband, artist, and photographer. His work was well known through out the world, from Life magazine to small galleries through out Paris. Robert wasn't just an ordinary photographer he was also a realist. He didn't enjoy taking candid pictures where all emotions are hidden behind a smile, his passion in photography relied on the true emotion behind the photograph. From the smiles, to the kisses, laughter, and even some tears, Robert Doisneau wandered through the streets of Paris in search of the most realistic situations and sure enough, he found them.
Robert Doisneau was born in Gentilly in the Val-de-Marne, France. As a young child, Robert's father died when he was four and his mother passed away when he was seven, due to these unfortunate events he has no other choice but to be raised by a unloving aunt. When Robert was thirteen, he was enrolled into Ecole Estienne, a "craft school" where he graduated in 1929. He graduated with two diplomas, which included engraving and lithography. At Ecole Estienne, Robert first discovered the arts where he took classes in figure drawing and still life. When Robert first took up photography he was sitting at the age of 16. In the beginning of his photography career, Robert was reportedly so shy that we wouldn't even take pictures of people; he started with only photographing cobble-stones and nature before he slowly progressed to random children and adults.
Once Robert slowly got use to the idea of overcoming his shyness and taking pictures of random strangers, his career flourished.
