It all started on a rainy day. Jimmy was bored and had nothing to do. He scanned the room and noticed something in a small dark corner. He got up from his bed and quietly walked towards it. Slowly, he stopped in his steps, couched over and stared intensely at the object. He couldn't quite figure out what that object was. He squinted his eyes and took another long look at it. He thought to himself "I had better figure out what this thing is". With that said, he grabbed his sketchbook and brush off his table. He racked his brains on how he could possibly draw the object out.

He fished his mobile from the right pocket of his jeans and opened up Safari. He typed in any possible keywords that would have matched the object but it was all futile. He started get frustrated as it was the first time that he could get a single thing done. Jimmy was a bright child ever since he was born and was also a brilliant drawer. He spends his free time observing his surroundings and if it happened to spark an interest in him, he would sketch it out with no hesitation. Jimmy was quite happy at all with what was happening.

An hour had past. The heavy storm ceased and the sky was getting darker. It was 6:00pm. Jimmy heard his Mum called from the first floor to help her out with dinner preparations. Jimmy sighed and inked the paper quickly before heading down to help his Mum with the preparations.

The door shut tight and on the paper was a splash of ink. It was flat, straight and two-dimensional. A clean stroke. It was a dash. A dash on the paper.
