"Amortentia is the most powerful love potion in the world. It is distinctive for its mother-of-pearl sheen, and steam rises from the potion in spirals. Amortentia smells different to each person, according to what attracts them." Snape says gesturing to the almost gold colored cauldron.

"Miss Elddir come up and tell the class what you smell." He says in a harsh tone.

"Okay professor But ill only do it if you tell us what you smell f-first" I say smiling softly and nervously. What am i thinking? Talking to im like that!

"Detention Miss Elddir. Now hurry along we have other things to do!" He says frustrated.

Slowly i walk up to the cauldron and almost instantly i can smell a range of different potions and old shoes? My eyes go wide and i blush a dark red.

"I-i..." I pause. What can i say? That i smell old shoes and potions people with think im crazy.."I-Im sorry Sir but-t i don't smell anything." I look up and i can tell he knows im lying and i walk back to my seat.

"Leave all of you! I expect a foot of parchment on the effects of amortentia by tomorrow morning."I grumble harshly and sit down.
